                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO REZONE A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED AT 1269
                   MARKET STREET, BEING ON THE SOUTHWEST LINE OF
                   MARKET STREET NORTHWEST OF WEST 13TH STREET
                   FROM M-1 MANUFACTURING ZONE TO C-3 CENTRAL
                   BUSINESS ZONE, SUBJECT TO CERTAIN CONDITIONS.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to rezone:
               
                A tract of land located at 1269 Market Street,
                being on the southwest line of Market Street
                northwest of West 13th Street.  Lot 9, block 4,
                J.C. Stanton's Subdivision, as shown by plat of
                record in deed book H, volume 2, page 156, ROHC;
                being the property described in deed book 1789,
                page 282, ROHC.  Tax Map No. 145E-N-8.
               
         from M-1 Manufacturing Zone to C-3 Central Business Zone.
        
              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this rezoning 

         shall be subject to the following conditions:

              1.   Subject to parking approval by the City Traffic
                   Engineer.
        
              2.   All existing easements are retained.
        
        
              	   SECTION 3.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, as
         provided by law.
